Hi

My partner has just purchased a 2000 seicento with standard 13" steel wheels. We are looking at purchasing some alloys but I cannot find the offset required for the seicento. The wheels we have found are as follows below. Would these fit without spacers?

Thank you for your answers!

a few more if you dont mind.

1) What is the exact "ET" size I require?

2) Why is it different spacers on the rear

3) Could I use different wheels being 14": 60x14in4x98et25 instead?

Thank you in advance. Its all very confusing!

The Fiat standard for the Sei Sporting is ET27.5 all round, ideal for handling seems to be in the ET20 to ET25 area up front and ET23 to ET28 at the rear assuming stock brake setup. So 60x14in4x98et25 (I assume to mean 14x6J, 4x98 PDC, ET25) would be perfect with 5mm spacers at the front & 195/45R14 tyres.

Thank you StoneNewt. The car is a standard 899 citymatic. Would the same still apply

Point to remember in all this is that the higher the ET, the close the wheel sits to the centre line of the car. Adding spacers effectively reduces the ET. So, 38 et - 12mm spacer gives 26ET, which gives you a front track a very little wider than the 27.5.

25 should fit, but I'd not put spacers on the front unless I wanted better turn in.

Ideally you want wider track at the front to help turn in, is why different spacers front and rear.

Yes the same will apply. The only thing is with standard suspension you really will need to lower the car if you run 14" wheels, even fiat recommend this.

fingers, going wider on the track also helps the handling in general, the fiat standard seems to make the car much more nose happy in the corners, which can lead to unexpected extreme understeer. Going wider on the track front & rear keeps the car more neutral at the expense of a more noticeable throttle-off oversteer reaction, this reaction is dulled by the use of high quality wide tyres (195/45R14 Rain Sport 2, Proxes TR-1, etc)
