Simple question, where the hell is it? I checked the whole of the boot and took things apart in there.. checked the glove box and nothing..

I did buy the car from motorpoint so it may well not be there but I'm hoping its hidden somewhere!

glove box under front passanger seat?

Theres a glove box under the passenger seat?

brb I shall check!

Nope no glove box under there but if you sit in the passenger seat, on the side/floor bit is a little black faceplate.. I did however manage to break that.

I'm confuzzled.

Pocket's in the back of the seats ?

Failing that go to your nearest dealer and ask the lovely chaps if they wouldnt mind using there master key set to remove your old ones, then purchase some nice new ones..

Couldnt take a pic of this glove box could you? I dont seem to have one :(

I got a bloody fix and go kit :\ something to ruin a perfectly fixable puncture on a tyre.. just what I always wanted!

Took it to get the tyre changed anyways cos I explained the situation and they said they'd look at it because they believed them to be steel rims, as said it was steel rims which required no wheel lock nut, result!

Youd think having gone down to the fiat garage and asking for a wheel lock nut they'd have at least asked if I had steel rims or gone and had a look for me. Numptys.

You spent time looking for the locking wheel nut key:bang:
You came on a forum and asked for help:bang:
You went to a tyre company and they had to tell you that you had steel wheels:bang:

AND THE DEALER IS THE NUMPTY???????

Seeing as I'm not mechanically minded, nor had the pleasure of owning alloy wheels, nor has anybody ever explained to me how this works. I was left to the assumption from my last car, which required a wheel locking nut which I was able to pickup from the dealer and had no issues with.

Simple troubleshoot question woulda been "g0t alloys?" and I'd have said no, they'd have said "probably steel rims, you wont need one" - Had nothing but terrible attitudy service from the fiat garage and reading the rest of the things on here seems to say its the same across the board.

My apologies for my own naivety in believe as a security measure, all cars these days came with wheel locking nuts. What with there being so many different types of car if each company made a seperate lock nut for each model it'd make it not so easy to carry around just a set of sockets and pull peoples wheels off. If I'd have known this I'd have invested in a set myself.

dont worry about getting a set, its very rare for people to pinch steel wheels in fact ive not heard of it happening to anyone for years ( in-fact ever only seen it on tv fiction) an i am on a lot of car forums and know a lot of people in car trade. spare wheels and van wheels i have but not ones bolted to the car
also you probably wont find a set short enough for steel wheels as demand for them isnt there because of the above.

I had steel wheels, now got the Fiat 16" accessory alloys. I established, with the help of others on this forum, that the wheel bolts for steels and alloys are exactly the same, so the Fiat locking bolts should suit either.

BTW ToejaM, I hope you didn't pay for alloys!

oh yeah think i remember that , strange though as its not the norm, but is on new bravos.

do all new bravos have rear disk brakes? that could explain it

Not sure about that dave, 4 new tyres worth well over £200!!! We are living in a country ppl will drill through the tank and taking the fuel away!!!

No I knew they werent alloys, what I didnt realise was that only alloys are assoiciated with locking nuts.

Seriously I live in Wales, it wouldnt put it past me for one of the scrounging knobs round here to steal my wheels.

Alloys are on my list of "to-buy" :)

I had the tyre guy swap my rears onto the front, had disc breaks there.. if that helps.
