Whats the worst car you have driven?

we've had the fastest/ best, now for the worst

mine has to be a 1.1 citroen c2, only had 9k on the clock, it was so gutless and souless, on 70mph stretches, it would top out at 58mph!, if you changed down a gear, you MIGHT hit 60 if you waited long enough, but you really didnt want to change gear as the clutch felt like stepping into a packet of rice krispies and the gearbox felt like stirring a pot of thick soup. the brakes were so snatchy i had to drive with no shoes on, as even a tiny bit too much pressure on the pedal brought on a full emergency stop. the steering felt awful too, no feedback or weight to it and it seemed to take an age to react to inputs. the whole thing rattled worse than any fiat ever has and it felt very unstable.

it realy was a pile of pish.

still, the whole car was awful, the worst car/engine combo i drove was an astra 1.4. it was nowhere near powerful enough to even get it to move half the time, far to heavy a car for the engine out a corsa!, that really was hopeless, but the rest of the car was fairly good, just a terrible engine let it down, so wasnt in the same league as the citroen!

gotta be the Nissan Micra 1.1 I had as a courtesy car, was a complete pile of pish, ragged the arse off it for 2 weeks while the power steering was sorted on the focus

Merc A Class - nice badge (!!!) but felt like a very cheap car and didn't make me think I was in a Merc. Engine was good but the rest of it was junk.

I drove one of the first Matiz's with the 800cc(?) engine. I thought though it was slow, rolled around corners and looked like a joke, it was quite an amusing vehicle. The engine sounded quite good I thought, considering how pathetic it was. Being a rental car, I of course did the courteous thing of thrashing the arse off it. Which was nice Had a Sony headunit, maxxed it and the door skins shook with the bass

Have to say the worst car I've ever driven was the Mazda 626 1.8 I mentioned in the other thread. It was just awful, fake Jap wood and everything. Handled literally like a boat and the steering was deader than a Betamax. However with the relative power of the 1.8 (baring in mind I'd just stepped out of the only car I had driven at that point...a 45hp 1-litre Uno), it was terrifying. And not in a good way. Biblically awful in every way.

needless to say it was a killer to drive!!

a yugo was a very close second, but i'm happy to report i wrote it off by reversing it hard into a bollard!!

This ones easy Hyundai Lantra 1.6 16v I owned one for a year and it was possibly the worst car ill ever drive. gutless engine 115bhp my ass car too heavy for said engine,
steering beyond vague handling bouncy and rolling at the same time no grip from tyres brakes what brakes. God i will never drive another hyundai ever

I've had to really think about this, even the worst cars have one redeeming quality somewhere (my charitable side showing there ) but I can honestly say that the worst car I have ever driven was a Mini 1.0L automatic (for f*cks sake, a 1 litre auto?!!! :rolleyes5: ) that belonged to an ex-girlfriend of mine at college.
I did the honourable thing...... ditched her. The car was BRG after all, to crash it would have been a sin

Worst thing I've ever driven was an American Motorhome thing(Absolutely MAHOOSIVE !!!). V10 6.8litre expanding walls type effort. I would have steered
more accurately if I'd used Obi Wan's advice and used "The Force"

actually, wasn't it the micra that stored water in the door chanels and when you opened the door, it dumped a nice pile of cold water into your lap?

bad enough for the fact you get your trousers wet, 10X worse for it making people think you've pished yourself.

mind you, driving a micra is bad enough, so the ship of embarrasment would have already sailed....wet trousers and micras go together anyway on oh so many levels

ive driven a 98 punto
my cinq around a carpark. not had a good enuff shot to judge completely!
a 05 clio extreme
and my instructors car. a vw fox or sumthing?
the clios gearstick moves when u eccelarate, feals reay dodgy!
the punto has bean the best one ive driven. can easily see me getting a punto gt in a few years time. ' ITILIAN POWER'

Drove a 1.3 Micra once, an S-reg I think. It was horrible on the inside and on the outside of course. BUT, it drove pretty well and it flew in my opinion. Okay, so I'd come from a 45hp Uno, but it felt seriously nippy. Solid as well, but again, this could be down to the Uno factor.

Have to say, I wouldn't mind trying one of these Micra's out for a laugh...

...1 litre with a turbo and a supercharger and well before VW ever got hold of the idea. One of my favourites from Gran Turismo 2

The earlier versions just had a turbo, later ones had both and it's 7.7 seconds 0-100km/h ...all from wonderful Wiki

Loved it though in GT2, would tune to over 200hp and thrash TVRs with it

worse car I have ever been in was a chrsyler neon omfg you needed 3 jobs just to keep the thing happy wae petrol and 2 the handling was so bad felt like it took for ever
on the plus side it did leave a few boy racers in there corsa an clios behind

I'd have to say my first car, it was a 950cc Ford Fiesta. I got it as a freebie from an ex's grandad. It had furry seat covers that I was told I wasn't allowed to remove, no tape player, no cd player just a radio! and only 2 speakers at the front.

It had only 4 gears, manual choke and the fastest I managed to get out of it was 85mph and I was going down a hill and I'm sure the wind was behind me!

But give it its due, I tried to kill it several times but it wouldn't die, just kept needing the balljoints replaced. Eventually sold it for £80 lol
