Quick Q. looked in the FAQ's already. Need a new throttle body on the cinq so what's the biggest one I can stick on from say a punto without modifying anything?

I can modify a few bits and bobs if needed. Would have bought a tricker tb but i'm not made of money!

32mm is a straight fit. 38mm needs modding, as does the PSA 36mm TB I believe.

You can fit a Peugeot/Citroen 36mm tb that was fitted to some 1.4 PSA models, you just need to modify or make a spacer with a 36mm hole in it and put in a bypass pipe in the header tank return in the cooling system

Oki koki.

Cheers. Was looking for a bolt for bolt fit so probably avoid

Bolt for bolt then there is only the 32mm as far as i know but every mm really does count a lot.

but you did say you would modify the odd bits and bobs

The 36mm isn't that hard you need a bit of 5mm pipe ~2 inches long 2 jubilee clips. Pull the coolant hoses of your origional TB put a Jubilee clip on each pipe stick the solid pipe halfway into one pipe tighten the clip then do the same with the other bit you don't even need to bleed the cooling system if you keep the pipe as high as you can as it is the return line.

You then remove the old TB and there is a plastic spacer underneith you can then just cut/sand/file the opening of your origional spacer as close to the size of the new TB (make sure it is smooth. (a dremel with the sander drum is best but you can do it manually)

then just reassemble you will need some gasket paper and a bit of gasket sealant also helps if you reuse the origionals but remember to make them the same size as the TB.

There is a pic of the 36mm in one of my recent posts

wat fiats are the 32mm 36mm tbs off and wat mods are need for them 2 be affecive thank

I reccomend the 32mm TB. I was skeptical to whether it would actually make any differece but to be honest the Half an hour it took to fit was well worth it!

ive been asked 15quid for 1 spose thats not exspensive?

it dosent have the black spacer can i enlarge mine?

You 'can' enlarge it, but its about an inch thick and you need to open the hole up from 30m to 32mm. Do you have any tools you can use? I would suggest a lathe, or a mill and a small adjustable boring bar. You could try using a dremel, but it will be bloody hard work, and if you start now it'll be ready by christmas. Best bet is to get the correct spacer.
