My mate has offered me a Uno Turbo which he has had in storage for a good while.
The car is a Mk1 Uno Turbo
MOT Jan 2009
TAX July 2008
Car has done 61,000 miles
It is 100% split mint with no rust anywhere.
Interior is 100% mint aswell no rips etc has half leather with Turbo IE stiched into the seat (standard and very rare from what i can find)
Full service history.
I can not explain how mint this car is ultra clean, would not take much to make it a concours show car.

Advice welcome

I will only give me 1 pound that mean its worth only a pound?

everything has a base value thats what i am asking.
What is a Mk1 Uno Turbo which is split mint worth........

If rusty nails are going for 1000+ then gives an idea
i have already come to a price with the seller i just want to know what its worth (which i know is more than i am paying)

It sounds like a late mk1 ,f or g reg. They all look mint untill you start to look a bit deeper:D Mines got full history & every mot with 69,000 miles but has rotted out in places that i've never seen go on a uno,be careful & check it properly:)

Put it this way, there was a guy who had a fully restored mk1 and he was asking between £3 - £4K for it. He was trying to sell it for quite some time and probably still has it...

There was the immaculate ex Monaco mk1 UT on sale here recently. I think he was only asking for £1.5K.

Absolute top whack mint mk1's are probably worth about £2 - £2.5K if you're lucky. Tidy mk1's go for around £1 - £1.5K. Tatty runners with MOT's are between £500 - £1K, anything else is sub £500.

But the market is constantly changing so as everyone says it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. It's also impossible to say what the one you're looking at is worth without seeing it. We've all gone to see a car for sale described as having 'no rust' only to find it was a rot bucket. 'Immaculate' is subjective and differs from one person to the next.

Why not post up some pictures?

About 1.5-1.7K mate!

Never under 1.5 for a mk1 that sounds like that!

Shame because i would love to buy it!

Yes. Unless someone else offers two pounds... ;)

I know what thepottleflump means though - values go on demand now rather than on 'book value' or 'depreciated value'. The Uno is in an awkward transition between 'new car-depreciated' and 'classic car' (the latter being where values are established and all examples are clearly in either excellent, restored, or parts-car condition).

Basically, if no-one wants to buy an Uno Turbo, then it is worth nothing. However, if a number of people want to buy it, then the price goes up. It's a bit like an 'invisible auction'. If the person is desperate to sell, you get it for a lower price, while if they're in no hurry to sell, they set the price to what they think someone will pay. It will also be worth more than a newer Uno (or newer Punto etc.) depending on its condition. Do check the rot spots well - bottoms of doors, edges of floor, rear strut towers (take an 8mm spanner with you to remove the trim/carpet).

I think the others have given a good indication of pricing - here in NZ, it would be the equivalent of about 1500-2000 pounds (based on when we have seen tidy, original Uno Turbos sold). And they have sold at that price, so there is obviously some demand.

As Dunc will tell you, you can spend A LOT renovating a rusty Uno (though, just to be clear, he sensibly gave up and bought a mint 45 for a re-shell...!) Therefore it makes sense to get the best you can - so consider what you can afford and what alternatives you could buy with the money.

Just my thoughts.
