I have been raking through some old stuff and came across this vid taken on my mobile when I was having all kinds of electrical issues with the ESP and gearbox; taken one rainy night in November 2008 after it stranded my partner in the middle of effin nowhere. It was trailered away by the RAC only just before I managed to get there with a gallon of unleaded and a box of matches.....

Just thought I would share these happy days.

PS. And yes that is the ESP system failure warning light you can see glowing happily at the end of the vid.

Is it doing it constantly or intermittently?

Ours was only intermittent - hence the vid to prove to the garage it was doing it. Mind I think a refusal to go anywhere was a pretty damned good indication.

I got the exact same barrage of messages when my alternator packed in, leading to a flat battery.

The annoying this is that it has all this apparent cleverness, but didn't tell me when the alternator stopped charging the battery - only when the battery became flat as a result.

I'm going to try a long reset by removing the negative from the battery. If this doesn't make the errors go away - then I'll try a overnight battery charge to ensure the battery is 100%. If the error goes away then it would indicate the altenator is shagged.
