General what the hells up with my dash

the other day i took my dash out so tha i could take some pictures of it without the plastic front on with the intension of making some white dials for it on photo shop

i started to take some of the bulbs out the back and shine a tourch in to see what other options my car didnt have

i found the heater plug light for the diesel and gearbox warning light for the uno selecta and also lots of other blanks howether my injection warning light did not have a bulb in and the heater plug warning light did

i thought this is weird as mine is petrol spi 999cc F.I.R.E k reg start ie

after swaping these two back the right way round and testing that the bulb works of course the bulb never comes on atall

what i want to know is is the bulb ment to come on when the ignition is on then go out once engine is runing

or not come on atall unless there is a problem

i tried a number of fings to make it come on like unpluging variouse sensors on the throtle body and manifold but nothing seem to triger it

even unpluged the lambda probe and that did nothing

so can someone please turn on there uno and tell me what theres does

all mine dose is show the oil and battery lights before i start the engine and brake warning of course


the botom of my dash on the left goes

[main] [dip side] [rear fog] [heated screen][hazards] [indicators]

then on the right
[brake] [battery] [oil] [gearbox] [gap] [injection] [gap] [heater plugs]

gap injection gap have wite dots on them the others around them dont

Hmmm I don’t remember ever seeing an operational injector warning light on my 1993 1.0 IE start. I had the dash out ages ago to scan the pictures your after:-

I now have the dash from a 70 SX, which has a rev counter

cheers for the pics lou also how do you get the speedo needle off to put the white dials in i have tryed puling it but it dosnt want to come should it just pop off as i am afraid of breaking it as they cost 65 quid new from fiat

any more ideas on the injection light

is it ment to come on or not

grab a flat head and slip in the gap and twist to pull the needle of the pin. do it slowly though so no risk of beaking anything.
I have put a white dial on my centre but not temp. or petrol.
Took me about 10mins to take everything apart and put it bk.
