General What kind of oil?

Hey my car is a Punto 2001 Fiat mach2 1200 twin cam 16v

What kind of oil do I need to run? I'm not afraid of using the best too so money is not a factor.

and use either semi synthetic or fully sythetic.

THE BEST to use is the manufacturers specified oil. Its called "Selenia" and its quite expensive, but selenia is the oil that the engine was designed with. so is what you should really use.

I run 5/30, as it is better with the hydrolic lifters.

maybe, I was quoting for the 8v OHC fire engine, missed the fact he said 16v. though aren't mk1's dohc, and mk2's (superfire ) the hydraulic lifter variaty?? or is it just the HGT that has them?

10w 40 is book for the 1.2 16v. some of us just use diffrent, but at our own risk, i got 0w 40 fully synth in mine but i cant recomend it, i say stick to book
