General What is the best spec/model coupe?

Simple enough, which in your opinion is the the best model in terms of looks, performance, maintainence costs, reliability, value for money & resale?

Different models obviously better in different areas, but which do you think is the best overall package?

...interesting. So the std 20VT is looking like a clear winner. Thought the good old 16VT maight have got one or two. You can pick them up for under £3K these days!!

I guess all the plus' are still a bit too expensive, and some people don't like the LE interior?

The LE does it for me. The best all-rounder IMO. I love the interior as well.

Until I did this pole, I didn't realise that the 2.0 20V na got a power hike in 1998. Wonder what the chnges were?

There were in fact 11 model variants in all but you can only fit 8 on a poll.

They Changed the inlet manifold design, to a plastic desigh with a vari track manifold.

Slightly off topic, but...

Was that the only change, does it apply to the 147 bhp 2.0 20v fitted in the Marea and is possible to retro-fit?

I would imagine they did the change across the range post 98, so all Mareas with that engine should be 154bhp.

As to the retro fit possibility - I have no idea, can't imagine it would be too difficult. What exactly does the vari track manifold consist of I wonder?? I guess it can vary the induction length by opening some kind of valve?
