I keep seeing a Totota Sera, that imported jap coupe with the glass roof and butterfly doors, and it got me thinking...... how awesome would it be to have a perspex, fully transparent hard top for the b? It take the pain out of not being able to have the roof down all winter! plus it would be much lighter than a metal one.

I am sure it is an impossible idea, or there would be loads of perspex hard tops on the market, doesn't stop me wanting one though! :p

:) TOTOTA or Toyota

Sure ive seen a hardtop out there for the B which is panoramic, seen pics somewhere but cant find it now.

All of it though would be rather whacky..:p more like a space ship.:D

untill a few weeks ago there was a hardtop with panoramic view for sale on a certain popular auction site with the .it suffix. Seems like an interesting concept, although for Greece might be a bit too hot... :D

Thanks for the PM, can't message you back cos your box is full!

That's wicked, maybe it wasn't such a daft idea after all! (y)

btw, can't you post links in the forum? never come across that before

@paganeli panda I forgot to say, that white b on the photo's was lovely wasn't it? I don't usually like cars with kits on but somehow that really worked, lovely alloys too, I wonder it it comes as a complete package, lol!

btw, I love Corfu, where abouts are you on the island? how does the b cope with the roads, from what I remember they were dreadful?

yeah would really like to see it too.

You used to be able to get a Saratoga tinted perspex targa top for the Fiat X1/9 they were pretty cool. I reckon you'd have to get a mould produced from a standard hardtop and develop the shape...

Saratoga Top

those side skirts looks ok, and that discret boot spoiler. but don't like bumpers...

Hey nix, well the roads are dreadful so I had to glue a lot of things and tighten a lot of nuts regularly otherwise the whole B rattles.. :D new shocks last year and am thinking of changing them again.. no lowering possible either... I ve met a couple more people that have B's on the island and they share the same view..

not sure about the bodykit to be honest.. not my cup of tea but from what I see you got replies to it :D:D

Having seen a full body shot of the kit, I don't like it either, it's dreadful!

UHM!! Not sure the roof is a good idea, but as far as any other body kits avliable for the B , I guess these are the best ive seen.

:)

I suppose everyone's tastes are different. I'm just not a fan of body kits in general. I like the shape of the b the way it is.
As far as the hardtop is concerned, I prefer the shape of the Fiat hardtop to this one.

Regards
Giorgio
