Its finally happened and the old girl failed her MOT. Both sills (cills)? have fairly extensive holes forward of the rear wheel arches, one extending into the arch itself. My local garage has patched them up and she's passed again, but I want some more extensive work done before the next MOT next year.
Can one buy new sills to be welded over the existing originals, or does one have to have bits custom made and then welded? If the former, where can you buy them?
If the sill has been saturated with Waxoyl, is it dangerous to try to weld in these areas?
All advice gratefully received.

I'm sure you can buy cills for your vehicle, I know of places that can make them up, obviously you would have to do a bit of detective work in your area.
Regarding welding...cut out all redundant/corroded metal & grind edges to be welded, stitch weld new metal then fully weld up waiting from time to time to let the metal to cool down. Finally grinding the weld to smoothness.

p.s.
Autopanels don't list the sills under 2002-2006 but the 94-02 ones are basically the same.
