just wonderin if any of you cinq owners have a black head light with only the chrome reflector, dont no y mine is black inside but i think its reducin my beam any idea's like are these headlight units able to be took apart? so i can chrome spray them both? Cheers (y)

you really no ya stuff man, any idea how much I would be lookin at and would it ned re-aligning? or just set it to the same amount of thread as old one?

Not really sure what you are asking:

A; the reflector has gone black, or the light unit is black, but

if the light units when black inside are proper sporting headlamps, grey ones are off non-Sportings, often Sportings have these as they are cheaper to buy new, or more plentiful from scrap yards.

if the reflector has lost its chrome, then replace.

ah right well i'v got a 900 so must be coz it aint got sporting lights but the drivers side light is normal sod it just pull one out v a scrappy cheers mate :worship:(y)

doesn't the rest of the unit help give more light? always thought it did since every other car i'v had has had both units all chrome

I think the problem here is that we don't know exactly where the black stuff is.

If the black stuff is on the reflector, or more likely the chrome has corroded off the reflector, then replace the headlamp unit.

If the black stuff is merely the mounting box that the reflector sits in, then its a fashion decision on whether to change or not.

Some Cento headlamp boxes were made in black plastic, some in grey.

Cheers
