Technical Weber 30 DIC carburettor

Hi, just trying to find out what the “vacuum break” does on the Weber 30DIC carb and if it’s advisable to remove it and how to block it off.

Hi.

It adjusts the choke based upon vacuum at different points.

Probably best left on.

Tim's correct. That device automatically pulls off the "full" choke when the engine starts. It allows the fast idle to remain but opens up the choke plate to prevent the engine from running rich. The diaphragm in mine is shot and I haven't found a replacement. I have to remember to push the choke knob back in about half way after the car starts.
