I've just bought a Gates cam-belt and water pump kit for the Younger Mrs S's 1.2.
It's due a cam-belt change when I get round to it in a few weeks' time.
The parts are all sealed in bags apart from the belt itself, so I know I haven't lost anything.
What's odd is that the water pump has no gasket. The gasket appears to be one of the thin cardboard types and I've looked on fleabay.. yet none are for sale.
If I look at water pumps specifically, I can see some pumps come with a gasket and others don't.
Where can I get a gasket? Will I even need a gasket, or will the old one peel off miraculously re-usable?
It seems odd that pumps are available with and without gaskets.. and the Gates (reputable) kit doesn't include one.. so I am perplexed.
