Now then will my new water pump seal probably or is it completely wrong??

Aftermarket pumps are often slightly different, but this one is very different. If mine, I'd be taking it back and asking for one that looks more right.

The original has the impeller partly shrouded to stop 'cavitation'. This is where the water eddys around in the chamber instead of being pushed around the waterways. Any replacement should have the same or at least a similar shroud.

Thanks, my only concern is that it is loose in the block unlike the original ?

hmm strange.

also make sure that the pulley is the correct one!

if its wrong you get this :(

and that engine still ran! the timing was still good!

Dragon man, do you think it will be alright without the shroud if the pulleys correct?
