General Water in the drivers side passenger floor

In the passenger drivers side floor, I could literally keep fish there as there is that much water accumulating after sitting over the winter. I went through all of the usual culprits (cleaning out the channel under the front wipers etc) and found that when I turn on the hose, just to the upper left of the accelerator pedal there is a smallish hole where the cables enter the cabin. That's where the water egress is coming from and from there it simply flows to the lowest point and gathers in the rear passenger's side. I have gobbed up the grommet area with sealant and the problem is solved.

Just hoping that what I have dealt with helps others as this seems to be a common problem with no definitive solutions for many.

I'm from Canada, so we drive on the Right side of the road. My water egress was on the drivers seat, so I imagine the cable routing etc would be the same for you as well.
