Technical Washers nozzles freezing over

I had an audi coupe years ago, the early 80's one. It had a great setup where the windscreen washer bottle sat behind the radiator, and the pipes to the washers sat in where the airflow would be behind the rad. It seemed such a simple idea, rather than the stupid corner of the bumper place that is very exposed to cold.

Don’t think it was Audi being clever, more like having to shoehorn everything in. Brothers Alfa 33 was similar, good position but more by luck than judgement
