I have a 07 Ducato and have a washer problem. The washer motor does not function when connected to the vehicle.I have removed the motor and it works fine.I have checked all the fuses in the vehicle and I cannot find a "dead one". Is there another power source to this item?.If it is a relay which one?.The handbook only shows the headlight washer fuses but this vehicle does not have them. Help.

First thing I'd do is get a test lamp, I'd advise against a volt meter as you can have a nice healthy 12v on a meter but once loaded the circuit fails!
Unplug the wire off the pump, connect your light across the two connections , operate the switch. Nothing?
You need to know which of the two connections at the pump plug is which now.
Connect the test lamp from the positive on the plug to the battery negative post, power? You have a earth fault, find & repair or run a wire from the plug to the body.
No power? You have a supply fault, start at the plug inside the steering column, if you have wipers working its more likely a faulty switch though.
Did any of that make sense??
PM me if you need more help :)

Hi thank you so much. I was going to take the vehicle to the garage sometime to day.I will try this and see how I get on.Not being electrical minded I will got my next door neighbor to assist me.I will let you know how we get on as soon as I can. Once again thank you. MY vehicle reg is JJ 07 BED.
Here is a little tip for you. If the waste indicates full when empty unscrew the black cap on the tank.(beware of the little drop of water left!).Reach inside and locate the two prongs inside.
Wipe these with kitchen towel and replace the black cap.
Put some water in and the gauge should now function ok.
The false reading is caused by a small build up of grease.
Once again thank you. John.

Just for the record the washer motor is fed via a fuse and relay within the engine bay fusebox. N020 is the motor with one side direct connection to earth and the fuse and relays are in B001.
The relay is operated by a connection to positive when the ignition is on and a trigger from the body control unit provided when the switch is operated.
