im about to buy an 07 panda. what sort of warranty can i expect.

IIRC the first 2 years are unlimited mileage and supplied by Fiat UK. The 3rd year is limited to 60k miles and is supplied by Fiat dealers, although I think that any warranty work they do is still billed to Fiat UK so to the customer it still looks the same.

Check that it's been serviced by a Fiat dealer or an independent using Fiat parts. If it hasn't the Fiat warranty will be worthless.

:yeahthat:

....but be careful as some independent garages use parts which are the manufacturers parts, but they must be "Manufacturers Original Parts", meaning they must be identical to that replaced, not a manufacturers alternative.

That's how it worked at VW anyway, so I would imagine it works the same with all manufacturers.

I've not read up on the Fiat warranty small print yet.....

It doesn't have to be FIAT parts, just what they call OEM parts. All part of the block exemption, thanks to the EU, which most if not all motorfactors and garages use. There isnt really a FIAT oil filter or a FIAT set of plugs, these are supplied by NGK,Champion,Fram etc and just labelled differently.

Dont worry, you will have 1 year manufacturer at worst and at best 2 years. but the Panda is a great car with (IMHO) great build quality. (y)
