Just thought I would post a mess for a little bit of advice. Not going to name and shame the dealer as up till now, I have had nothing but good dealings with them.

My car went in for a wheel bearing replacement on Thursday and all was done smoothly. I noticed however when I got home, that it appears the drivers door has been opened into a wall or something as all the paint along the edge is knackered. With the garage being closed yesterday I phoned up as soon as I could today to express my concern.

They have asked me to bring the vehicle in on Tuesday so they can assess the damage. I just wondered where I stood really with it all, as I did not notice till I left the forecourt , it is blatantly obvious that the scuff is new as you can see the shiny metal showing through.

Tis a pain in the arse though, as I moved to this dealership after no end of trouble with my last and now this happens

Well i certainly didn't do it myself. Park on a drive and in an open air car park. The car was parked alongside a wall when I picked it up.

Anyways, the long and the short of it is that they didn't even argue. Apologised profusely and arranged me a courtesy car and picked mine up from my house. Got my bonnet resprayed at the same time for £150 which i didn't think was too bad.

Yeh, accidents happen at the end of the day, and I got a little 500 to drive around in which was fun!

How much bloody travel is there on the accelerator on the 1.2 pop though!!!
