Got myself an LG KC910 Renoir - very nice phone and it seems to pair fine and also offered to send my address book to the car - nice one.

Address book has only sent primary numbers of contacts...so if you have multiple numbers stored for someone, you only get the main number (normally mobile unless you set it to something else).

Not had a text message yet so not sure if that works with the reader (I'm guessing not).

When connected my ring volume is very high but when it then goes through to the caller, the volume is very quiet - I try to increase the volume but it won't go above 25 and I can only just hear them.

Anyone know if it can go higher? Or anyone know how to set the volume on the connection so it is louder i.e. the volume set on level 25 might actually be level 15 but the connection is a bit funny.

Previous phone was a Sony Ericsson W715 and it had everything working on it - volume was much louder than with the Renoir so I think it is something up with the bluetooth connection or phone - but can't work out what.

I'm going to try clearing my address book on the phone and sending all my contacts via Bluetooth to see if they will be picked up.

Last call option also doesn't work.

Cheers.

Not sure about the other problems but i think i might be able to help you with your volume problem. To make the calls louder you need to put the stereo in CD Mode and go thru the menu to External Vol Control - try turning this up and then you'll be able to hear your callers louder. I have mine set to 20 and that works fine even when im driving a long very busy roads

Thanks for that - how do I do that though? If I put a CD in it goes to 'CD mode'...and plays the CD...where do I find the External Vol Control? When on a call, if I adjust the volume it comes up as 'Voice', but it won't go louder than 25 - if the call was made before getting in the car the volume is fine...but once in the car and driving, making a call and it is incredibly quiet.

Small update - the phone worked 100% this afternoon - my profile was on normal and I tried calling someone and it was perfect volume. Got a text message and it read it out to me, checked the last call list and it was all there...phone is normally on Silent profile but I'll try it on Normal for a while to see if it was a fluke or not.

It sounds like maybe the problem has fixed itself, but to answer your question about the External Volume Control, when the stereo is in CD Mode press the Audio button and scroll thru the menu until you find External Audio Vol and the whack this up to something between 20-25 and you should hear your callers clear as a whistle ;-)

Thanks...will check that tomorrow. Voice audio level is at 25 and won't go any higher, but will try the external audio thing as well.

As a rule of thumb the external volume should be between 16 and 21(y)

Don't have external audio as an option on my radio...however now that it appears to be working, the Voice audio is back down to 20 and everything is very clear. Also the Last call option still seems to be working so I'm hoping it was a temporary glitch whilst it was still 'learning' the new phone!

Now not working again and won't read texts out...it did but now doesn't...might see if there is an update for the phone...
