Is there any visual mods I can do on the exterior to make the car 'stand out' on the cheap?

Ideas like giving the badges a fresh coat of paint , or anything like that?

Stylish Number Plates,
Sun Strip

Pete

DONT WORK FOR THE CO-OP THEY DONT PAY PERIOD!

Tried the sunstrip, fooked it up tho, and in a moment of madness, scrumpled it up :D lol

Whats the deal with taking the badges off? Will I need to touch the paint work up or anything?

What are light masks?

No mate, simply boil some water, pour onto the badge slowly (so it melts the glue) slide them off using a credit card or thin bit of plastic that not scratch ur paintwork. if u want more details go onto the 'modding' page.

u can get front or rear light masks, spray them and they fit over your lights, but bravo rear lights look **** hot anyway, but fronts are good.

Oh nooooo, what happened with the sunstrip!
Tell me cos I can give you some tips how to do.

Here's my light eyebrows (any excuse to get a pic up! ;) ) but there are light masks too, that go over the whole thing with holes cut out.

I've got a grrreat lil mod that hardly costs anything, but I aint letting on what it is yet..guaranteed to suit every bravo, and no ones thought of it before ;)

Nico, come by my house and fit my sunstrip, lol :)

Let on with you new idea, lol

I am thinking of doing the repeaters, is it a fiddly job?

Will probs do the badges when I get some daylight, as I want to see if it actually affects the paintwork, if it does, I will just glue them on again. (after a re-paint).

Cam

you did use soapy spray on the glass, and the adhesive side of the film didn't you.

I bet it folded back on itself when you were peeling the back off! :) I can't help it :) :) I know, you must have spent ages cutting the blooming thing out just right!?

I did a bit of a guide to how to handle the tint film (if you have enough film left)!?

When de-badging, poor the kettle onto the bodywork just above the badge and then use a v gentle lifting technique, motioning further underneath a litle bit at a time. Don't try and use the edge to scrape the adhesive off, and you'll avoid scratching the paint whilst leaving the adhesive in tact too, so should stick back on at later date.

Re: Cam

:) how did you guess???

No film yet, and to top it off, my gf's lil brother thought it would be funny to dangle the template out the window, and let go of it, so some one may have snaffled it :(

lol, great fun :S

extract..

'The sunstrip was done using limo tint.
One more tip (..after you've cleaned the glass inside, then outside, then inside again) you've got your pre-trimmed film ready with squeegee and spray gun standing by; use a board as near as poss to the size of the sheet (& the window you are attempting) and rest this on your lap in the car. Spray this top surface too! before laying the foil side of the sheet face down on to it.

When you then remove the adhesive backing that is uppermost (best done – drawn with your palm flat with the backing folded completely over on itself - once you ‘ve managed to peel an edge!) the film will remain flat (temporarily kept on the board by the action of the water) and it should not curl up or fold back on itself - otherwise causing catastrophe!

Then you spray the glass, then peel the film, then spray the exposed adhesive side (soak it!..or you get cloudiness), then spray the non adhesive side again once offered up against the glass before repeatedly squeegeeing and spraying yet more. Oh, and wear a cap and a long sleeve top when you do it (trust me – one rogue hair is all it takes to spoil what might otherwise be a perfect job)'

Re: extract..

Jesus lol, all that just to put some tint on your windscreen, lol. Might have to let you do it if there is a meet and we are both present ;) You seem to be the master :)

Re: extract..

that was from my post for doing all the windows, but especially for the sunstrip, when you are peeling the back off ;)

I was guna let my brother pay for gettin his windows done, but I since reconciled myself to the fact that the rear quarters are easy, and the fronts just can't be done properly unless you remove the glass (I can't imagine a garage can achieve as good a result as I can on the fronts ;) ). AND this time I'm guna manage that rear in ONE piece, not two :)

Re: extract..

You up for doing mine then? ;)

Things can always go wrong!!

Fraid I take my time with em.
Would not be practical for me to
endeavour to do anyone else's, even
if they did trust me ;)

Once I've perfected the technique and
done a perfect job on my brothers I'll
be content never to tackle tinting again!

Lol, be a shame. Could be some decent wedge in it for you
