Ducato 2.3 2015 (Euro 5) L2H2. If I try to start the van, it will fire up but then immediately die after 2-3 seconds. However, if I start it with the accelerator pedal half depressed, it starts perfectly fine. After it starts, I can release the pedal, the tick-over is perfectly fine, it pulls nice and strong in all gears, fuel consumption on a 100 miles run shows at 45mpg (driven gently). So everything appears to be fine, except the start niggle. I have the feeling someone mentioned a while ago on a forum that it could be an EGR valve stuck open? Or maybe some fuelling problem - but I guess it should cause some issues after startup as well, not just during startup? Any suggestions?
Edit: just to mention that I've plugged an OBD reader in and there are no reported error codes
