Hi All,

I'v just purchased a mk1 punto gt,

Well one its:

Got a spilt in the silicone pipe that comes straight of the turbo to intercooler.

would this make the car to loose its rev's & wanna make the car cut out now & again.

also the vac pipes seem to be different than my last one,
does anyone know the correct vac pipe diagram?

Cheers

Can't comment on vac pipe differences but with a turbo powered car then ANY vacuum, pressure, etc. leaks will cause all sorts of problems. Some problems my not be noticeable when driving (eg plenty of power etc) but that does not mean that there are not fuel mixture and other issues.

The feed in your case from the tubo to the inlet is critical. Basically there is a pressure balanced system from turbo to MAF and inlet manifold which is also closed loop controlled by the ECU. Any pressure or vacuum leak is going to confuse the overall ECU control.

Symptoms can vary from car to car.
