Hi folks...Just had my Bravo for one week. It only arrived from Italy on Sept 28th and obviously has the latest Blue & me software (display says Media Player). So, the bad news first. My ipod does play but it only plays tracks at random and I can only play next or previous track.
My first question: My music is mainly in mp3; has id3 v2 tags and is all in playlists. Some playlists contain a sub "folder". If I pay out £70 for the correct cable will I have access to my playlists? Secondly, will I be able to display artists, genre and other tag info?
I am able to play those same mp3 track that are copied onto a 2gb usb stick, and I might buy a few 4gb sticks and abandon use of my ipod. So far though I only see the song title on screen, and reading the manual I can't see how to display other track info such as artist etc. Ideally I would like a scrolling display of what track info I chose, but maybe I am expecting too much! The music is the most important thing of course.
Another annoying thing is that Media Player will not work once the engine is switched off. I assume this is because power to the usb socket (and 12v aux socket) is cut off when the key is turned off. I work from my car sometimes and sit in it for long periods. I don't suppose there is a way to keep the power on when the key is off?
So, Blue & Me is somewhat of a bag of mixed blessings especially since my phone is not campatible (it has Bluetooth v1.2), so have ordered a new compatible Motorola RIZR Z3. Hope that works out alright!
