General Urgent Tyre Pressure Query.

I can only find one in the haynes for bravo and brava 36 psi rear and 33 for the front but thats 185/55/r15

oh and normal should be 32 all round
found it in the other porter manual
1910 JTD 185/60/r14 33.5psi or 2.3 bar however it says for most other sizes 36 psi

Decide for yourself.

higher pressure in the rear? thats very strange.
i usually run 35psi front 35psi rear at all times, or a couple more in the front if im doing a long motorway journey.

Exactly what I thought. Check your manual though - all models are equal front/rear for light load and .2-.3 bar extra in the rear

I assume that's because it's the same tyre pressures as for empty, just instead of amending them to adjust for it, they see what the pressure is with lots of people/ stuff in the boot. Makes no sense to me and I usually let a bit out of the back if I know I'm going to be carrying loads, don't like them to be too high I feel like the car's skating on ice

I always run mine a tad higher than recommended anyway (after someone suggested it for bigger wheels), but why higher on rear than front then? As I pointed out in the other topic, you can end up with a pressure approaching the maximum recommended sometimes and I still don't know if that's an absolute safe maximum or recommended safe maximum...........
