Hi,
I am looking for a heavy duty clutch for my van as it has started to slip when going up hill. The van is only an 06 model and hasn't done many miles. I have called quite a few performance clutch specialists but have been unable to locate one. Does anyone know of a website or company which would do one?

I Don't think that there is an uprated one. Just a standard Fiat one of which is made by Iveco who make the engine.

Our 2.8 JTD's clutch started going at approx 70,000 miles with the slipping that you describe. Our clutch went on until 123,000 miles, when we got the clutch replaced. The clutch didn't let us down but it was beginning to smell. Our van is a severe use multi-drop delivery van.

You clutch will take a mechanic approx 6 hours to-do and I wouldn;t imagine much change out of £600 if ours was anything to go by.

Remember, the sheer torque of the engine will show up a decline in the clutch, ours would only slip under load at around 2000-2500 revs. It was fine the rest of the time. It would even reverse up steepish slopes (Of course with the trademark judder!).:)
