Well I was thinking the X forum was looking a little quiet so thought I would drop a line and let you know my plans for the X...
As you can tell, I'm very new to this forum but have enjoyed reading through the posts and finding little bits of gold advice everywhere.
I have a Serie speciale which is running a Uno Turbo engine - currently in pieces (see Uno forum) and have just stripped out the interior also. It has surprisingly little rust in it - pretty much none. I have a bodykit coming from Australia in a couple of weeks which is exciting and I have made up a replica Grand Finale spoiler.
I bought the spoiler mould from another enthusiast who had it made when her end-cap got broken off...and thus far it makes a very nice spoiler
I also bought her original spoiler in case it didn't work out...
Anway, I plan to fit the bodykit myself (take a deep breath) and am going to do up the interior a little too. The seats will need re-foaming and will probably recover in leather. I would like to build a custom interior and dash as the flat panel dash could do with improving IMHO. Not quite sure yet how to make the new dash and centre console so if anyone has any bright ideas let me know...otherwise I'll keep thinking about it until the car is back up and running again.
Planned engine improvements are listed in the Uno Tech forum too.
The X is a fantastic car, and deserves so much credit in both external design and handling.
