Has anyone fitted a MK1 punto rear wiper arm to their Uno? I saw a MK2 UT feature in Fast Car or some such mag a few years ago where this had been done, and it looked sweet. I wonder if it is a straightforward fit?

I had a punto rear wiper arm on my UT, the wiper arm can come off a mk1 or mk2/2b punto it doesn't matter as they are the same. If i remember correctly the punto wiper arm will only fit onto a mk1 uno though as the mk2 wiper goes in the opposite direction. Easy to fit just a 10mm spanner is needed.
OK, cheers Dazz, I'll have to look into it: a visit to a scrapyard is needed...so you are in Bedford, just down the A6 from me (Irthlingborough) are there many meets round there? I would think there are plenty of Fiats in Bedford, because of the high italian population?! I remember going to a show at Shuttleworth house a few years ago...
I helped Louie fit a later rear wiper arm (think it was Punto one, not sure) onto his mk1 Bianca. To get it to fit we had to hacksaw a tiny bit off the end that goes on to the spindle to make it sit on the spindle properly.
Looked good, but the wiper arm is shorter so doesn't clean as much of the screen as the original arm.
As Dazzdog says, just a 10mm spanner is needed (and a hacksaw!) Not sure how much this applies to the mk2 though
As for meets, there's a monthly meet at the ACE Cafe tomorrow night down in North London. Loads of Fiats go to this, so come along. It's just down the M1 near Brent Cross. Check out the events section for more details!

Irthlingboro is near rushden isn't it, think i did a job out there the other week There is a big meet every sunday down kempston interchange retail park, has been quite good recently too. There are quite alot of fiats in bedford, mostly punto's.

The rear wiper motor we fitted to the MK1 Bianca turbo tailgate was from Turboned. It wasn’t the same as the motor we removed .
The arm was off Spam0r’s MK2 Uno. He had cut it down to stop it hitting the aftermarket spoiler . I fitted the MK2 wiper arm to get through the MOT, as I couldn’t find a MK1 wiper arm for love nor money at the time.
Tim or Dazz, have you got a picture of the Punto rear arm fitted to a UT?
