Working on my mates Uno turbo, about 3 solid days of welding and loads of other problems, but all good for the MOT now except for the sky-high hydrocarbons!

I can actually taste the unburnt fuel in the air when it's running, and the plugs are carbon fouled after only 30 minnutes total running time - to the extent that it won't start.

Going to try a new Coolant Temp Sensor (the one for the ECU), but does anyone else know of anything likely to go wrong on these, or how to test it?

Thanks.

maybe faulty fpr, or afm, lamba probe, injector, Ant!

I've checked what's there as best I can - the FPR is a possibility, injectors are fine, because all 4 cylinders are overfuelling equally.

It doesn't have a Lambda probe - it's an H reg, with no cat.

Has the AFM metering screw been tamperd with?
The amount injected is governed by that screw

As you say, all 4 cylinders equally overfueling, that would be the 1st place id start

Or it could still be on cold-start (Crappy water temp sensors)
