General Uno Turbo - How many left....

Anyone have a idea on how many are left OR how many was made?

as they can not be many left.....

We had this chat not so long ago on here i belive, any way i heard there was only 150 ut's left on the road in the uk.
But it dont matter weather there is a million out there or ten, they have all gotta be loved and looked after just the same.
Look back through the other threads and read them there was a few pages on it...

on the last UT count from the DVLA, there are....

200 mk2 UTs left, still registered, not scrapped
150 mk1 UTs left, still registered, not scrapped

now this is the total figure, therefore, not all these are on the road, alot of them are declared as scorn and prob just sat on driveways like mine is.

In Estonia we had like 5-10 MK1s. don't remember the actual number but it was between 10. So the car is very rare here and I'm one of the 10 owners Although parts for any Uno's are a lot of here. Just received my clean and clear rear lights Sorry for OT

Fiat sold 190,000 examples of the original Uno in the UK between 1983 and 1989. A survey by Auto Express, conducted in August 2006, revealed that just over 5,000 are still registered on British roads.

So where' s the other 185,000 gone rusted away i reackon

Landfill. Except of course for the parts on ebay and the ones outside the country dead. We need to stop killing the planet. Let's make it our objective to not let any more Unos or parts be buried.

There's no need to talk about me like I'm not here. Was there really 15,000 Turbos? Sounds a bit high as they were never close to the percentages of 205 GTi's. Wow that means that there must be loads of parts floating around.

So on last count around 350 uno turbos left
thats a crazy number, real shame

at least i have one of the Mk2's now
picked her up last night and i have to say shes in really good condition for the age, from takeing to the owner its been passed about alot of people but never put on the road, i will be fixing it, giving it a full respray

really chuffed i have one now
i have to admit i was one of the ones who crushed and Mk1 UT

So was I. RIP. She was a clean red '88 Mk1 that I bought in Germany and imported into Italy. Really clean car and being German it had a cat too which helped with the Italians.

I was in the city centre one morning and due to the construction for the Winter Olympics some traffic lights had been moved on a big junction and as I went through a BMW hit me on the front right hand wing and sent me spinning across the junction. From the drivers seat the bonnet was ^ shaped and the car was banana'd to the point I couldn't get out on the left. The whole front wheel and wing had collapsed and the other wheels were bent over at angles. The car was obliterated. After sorting everything out the guy in the BMW offered us a lift home, my car was dragged in pieces onto a truck. At the time I didn't have any way of doing anything with the car and had to scrap it. I still regret it hugely.

I too am a killer, I stripped my 1st turbo (and 1st car :devil: ) BUT....the engine n electrics live on :slayer:

So ive taken a "life" to give a "life"

i'm a killer as well i bought two that had been standing, 1 the h reg off my mate who rebuilt the engine (nothing wrong with it just a young keen mechanic ) then left it a year and decided to sort the bodywork, OH DEAR! i'm a panel beater and i thought 2 white uno turbo's his and hers you beauty! but decided was far 2 gone, put the jack under the front ns sill and jacked it up, ended up near the dash SHAME i couldn't save her but lives on in the loft and keeps the K reg going, last week used a spare caliper and alls well, oh did i mention i paid £300 for the K and £200 for the H now thats a bargain , and did all the work myself, minor work to the k, floor to sill ns and osr wheel arch, new door skins and wings (£90 the lot original fiat ) full shell bare metal repaint, hammerited the underneath, then stonechipped ,then painted, stay away metal moth ,tinworm ****! hopefully will be around a while if my chick does'nt smash, He he, and that ain't funny Ant! here' a pic of the living will post the dead tomoz when i can find it

Yep me to i killed my first ever 86 d reg uno turbo, drove it till i nearly gave up nd the shell was so rotten i let a mate have it for a field car.. This was a good 7 years ago, i still regret that day, if only i new then what i know now i would have kept it and restored it....

I guessed that Rob thought you meant 5 cars... I was pointing out that 15000 was closer to 8 percent, meaning your 5 percent wasn't far off... if understood as a percentage! I guess I was wrong to point out something so obvious. Sorry to have caused offence
