Hi, does anyone know what a mk2 uno turbo fuel pump litre per hour flow rate is?

Cheers:)

Yeah they are good pumps. Any of the external type bosch pumps will put out similar flow at normal pressures.

I have seen only 130l/hr @ 3 bar out of some. Easily good enough to run the motor though.

Steve, while on this topic, is it normal for the external Bosch pump on a Mk1 to make an audible whine? Obviously it's quite loud when I first turn the key on (more a stifled groan), but I can also hear it if I stand next to my Uno with the engine idling.

Reason I ask is that fuel-injected cars with the pump inside the tank seem to be inaudible.

And then there's my 'Uno moan' - HOURS after switching the engine off, there's a mooooaaan from the back of the car, sounds like a distant cow. Happens about every 1/2 hour. Is either of these symptoms a sign of anything needing attention? ;)

Cheers,
-Alex

Yes, they will make an audible "buzz". It should be a smooth pleasant sound though, not hard on the ears, or sound like its pumping air bubbles.

Ive replaced intank pumps with some aftermarket types that can be quite noisy. Usually a rubber wrap type sock will be provided to reduce noise.

My Mk1 did the moan thing too. Everyone said my car was "mooing" :)
