Technical Uno Turbo Engine rebuild

Hi Guys,

Just bought a Mark 2, '97 model, and would like to rebuild the engine. :slayer:

Current mods on car:
Aftermarket management
550cc injectors
TD04H turbo
Larger FMIC

UT parts here in South Africa is quite scarce, just have a few questions.

1) Are there any alternative pistons and rods that can be used?
2) Not planning on running major boost - is it worth going forged internals for boosting 1.2bar?

Hey,

I'll pm you my fiance's cell number. He has stock of ut spares and also imports and sells forged pistons, forged conrods, MLS head gaskets etc for the uno turbo's. Not sure where you are based, we are in Cape Town.
