I am planning on fitting disc breaks on the rear of my uno. Started life as an uno mk2 45

What is the best way of going about doing it? and what parts would fit?

I was looking to buy the whole rear axle but couldn't find anywhere, so probably will have to fit the brakes etc myself. Any ideas on how to do that? or maybe someone has done it before? Thanks :)

It´s useless unless you convert the whole brake system.
The front brakes take most of the energy.
You´ll have to find a Turbo breaking system including
main brake cylinder. Notice the extra weight and the power of the UNO 45.
You can also use the brake system of the Palio Weekend.
But really, it´s not worth the effort.

I want to add rear disc breaks as im doing an engine conversion, so it's worth the hassle. Just can't seem to find the uno turbo breaking system

Have a look a the Palio Weekend if you find one on the scrape.
There´s two different disk sizes. We use the larger ones for the UNO Turbo.
It´s plug and play if your rims are not to small. Front brakes work.
I don´t know about the rear.

Fantastic! What kind of brakes (front) are these - vented? With standard 13" rims, I guess the smaller disc size, still worth it if vented?

This is very interesting because the best scrapyard uprate for 124 Coupe/Spider with 13" wheels has been Uno Turbo fronts, but here's a new alternative maybe.

I am thinking of upgrading the front breaks to these:

will also be looking at fitting rear discs, but if i dont find might have to convert the rears to brembo shoes if they are any better than the stock uno 45 shoes

probably the master cylinder will have to be improved and also moved to the left hand side.

please note i am doing an engine conversion and will have quite a substantial amount of power, using it for road and track hence the break and coil overs upgrade
