Hello, welcome to the forum

Check condition of front and rear rubber mounts that support the gearbox. Make sure bolts are tight and steel brackets not cracked. Check the end plate of the gearbox is not cracked - should be flat where it provides the mounting for the bracket.

Check that driveshaft is level with car sitting stationary - if you have a broken or cut spring, perhaps the driveshaft operates at a constant angle and perhaps the suspension is also out of whack from hitting something? Have a wheel alignment check done; replace the bottom control arm if necessary.

Finally, check that driveshaft end has three-lobed 'Tripode' joint intact, with needle rollers contained - I assume that these are the type of inner joints on your Uno (not the Rzeppa ball-type), as I think tripode joints were fitted to all models except the Turbo.

Just my suggestions, as I once drove an Uno with cut springs and a cracked gearbox casing end plate, and it had exactly that symptom - a terrifying bump every time I tried to move off turning left...

Thanks for the reply Alex.

On a closer inspection to the front suspension, I've found that there has been repairs been made the the Crossrail (known as an Cross member or a sub frame in South Africa)
the repairs that was made wasn't very good, there is some welding done on it, but it doesn't align at all. I'm currently replacing both the control arms and the crossrail, to try and fix the problem.
