Picked up a new spoiler that I was gonna modify to fit my Cinq (because I like to be different :p). Been told that it's an Abarth spoiler, although there are no Fiat markings that I can see (my Cinq Abarth skirts have Fiat stamps on them). Searching the Uno section has turned up the possibility that Fiat did do body kit bits for the Uno, presumably as Abarth - the mark 2 Uno Abarth bits were listed as skirts and front/rear bumpers, but no mentioning of boot spoilers; the mark 1 Uno abarth bits consisted of just sideskirts.

What I would like to know is - did Fiat produce an Abarth spoiler for the Uno? If so, how rare are they? I don't want to butcher a rare part.....

TIA :)

I only saw a genuine Abarth set for Uno once - on the German fleabay. IIRC it consisted of sideskirts and a rear spoiler, which looked different to that of Uno Turbo.
Bumpers were not included in this offer.
The kit was 100 % genuine, it was never installed and came with original paper documentation. Unfortunately, I am not sure what exactly (Fiat? Abarth? ) was stamped on the pieces - it was some 2 years ago.
I never saw anything like this again, so I guess the kit is quite rare.

There Was Never An Abarth Uno But There Was Abarth Bits For One Skirts And Bumpers But Not A Spoiler
they were an optional extra when the cars were sold acording to my dad who worked in a fiat dealer when the car was launched

:chin: Hmm................so no Abarth spoiler ever made then, eh?

Not for mk1's, no. They came as standard with a plastic tailgate with an integral roof spoiler, so offering an Abarth spoiler wasn't necessary.

Any alleged 'Abarth' bits are likely to be aftermarket as as far as I know. Fiat never officially released an Abarth Uno (mk1 or mk2) and I suspect that those that you see are just badged up standard UT's.

That's what I was wondering, since there's no Fiat markings on it.
