Technical uno 1.1 to 1.6 convertion

Has anyone done the 1.1 to 1.6 16valve palio convertion? How hard is it to do? And another thing. If I put a set of 17inch rims on. How will it be. Will the tyres catch all the time or will it be clear

If it's any help I have a gd 1581 sohc motor avail c/w all ancilaries, basically a long-stroke Uno block, out of Punto ELX90, which can be built up into Punto GT spec I believe - am I wrong? It has a Punto-type 5sp box, with bellhousing that mates to the Uno block, which I might let go too - or it cd prob be mated to a Uno box.

Hard to believe of a FF member, but I was from S Africa too, 62yrs ago, but UK since then - so sadly you won't be buying my engine/box.
