is it possible to bolt in a 1.3 / 1.4 ltr turbo engine into the fire range unos?
does anyone have any idea what i would need for the conversion?i would rather do it this way as i have sourced a turbo engine from a local scrapyard :)
i have googled so much looking for info but just cant do it,thanks for your time :)

whole car isnt really an option mate :) i will be uprating suspension and brakes etc, just need a list of parts like what loom and intercooler etc,im not fussed on time at the mo.

honestly you realy need the car as a donor or it will cost!!!! theres loads of things even the fuel pipes from tank to engine and tank and pump the list is longer than the size of your screen i wouldn't attempt without a donor car Ant!

oh i see!ok mate cheers 4 that, didnt realise the differences were so great.

Yup, as Ant said you basically need the whole turbo car as a donor. The body shells of the turbo and lesser models are the same, but just about everything else is unique to the turbo (engine and engine mounts, gearbox, exhaust system, suspension, brakes, wiring loom, ECU, induction, interior/ seats, instrument pod etc. etc. etc.) It's a heck of a lot more than just bolting in another engine!

Buy a cheap Haynes manual off Ebay and you'll see in there what parts need to be changed.

It can be done, but you're best off buying a complete rusted turbo first and swapping everything over to your shell.

Sorry this is probably not the response you were looking for
