After a run of just about 45 minutes, the temperature goes up exactly just one line under the red group of lines:eek::mad:. I guess this shouldnt happen at this time of winter. I checked for any leaking hose pipes, all seem well, checked if it has coolant, full nearly to the brim.

Any ideas what I should check next guys?
thanks cause I've just bought this Uno(I'm 18) and don't know much about it yet.

Hi there

That is indeed bad news.

If your coolant is ok, with no apparent leaks, then like asked before, does the fan come on?

Had a similar thing for me, turned out to be my thermostat - check it out. Cheap as dirt and fairly easy to replace - or a mechanic shouldn't charge you a lot to check it and/or replace if necessary.

There might be something with the sensor, maybe get that checked as well if the fan and thermostat issues don't resolve the matter.

thanks for your replies, the confusing thing is that yes it does come on for a long time, practically stays on until i turn off the engine. was thinking of trying to flush the radiator maybe its clogged up somewhere inside it.

p.s. i will check the thermostat using the hot water style :D

hey guys, problem looks that it has been solved, i've diagnosed the problem as running rich and thus was having the same effect as being "on choke" all the time. 10x for your help ppl.
