General Unknown holes

Hi, can anyone tell me what and if the holes are for and why water drips out when we drive and stop and turn. I assume its a drain or is it. Thanks

Hi, this is a guess based on the shape of the moulding which I'm assuming is the roof trim at the top of the rear panel. I have a LED strip brake light in this position (though there doesn't appear to be a hole for the supply cable?)

If you post the year and converter there may be someone on here with a similar model who can confirm.
