I think there are a few hoops you have to jump through, mine is working fine. I'm no expert at this but this is what I did.
You need to enter your VIN number at the driveuconnect website.
Have your mobile connected to your car.
I can't remember but I think you login to the driveuconnect website and app with the same details. It was a while ago when I did this but there is a chance you don't have to authenticate into the app and it just picks up your VIN number etc from connecting to your car via bluetooth, like I say I can't remember.
My 2018 500x has just gone past 3 years old and the map updates at mopar maps has just expired (21/11/21), I managed to get 2 updates out of it since I bought it in September this year, strangely the uconnect services say they don't expire until 31/12/22.
So VIN at driveuconnect, bluetooth your mobile to the car, download the app.
