Tyres???

Anybody know why when I tried to order some tyres for my Seicento Sporting Abarth I was quoted more than the boots for my HGT Bravo. What's that all about? Where are you getting tyres and who seems to offer the best deal? The time is coming to re-tyre both motors.

I don't think it is the size that makes tyres expansive, it's their availability, so HGT size are probably more popular than 13" or whatever on the seicento.

Don't get your tyres from places like quick-fit because they charge more to cover their costs etc. I got 4 new budget tyres for £120 for my bravo from a local unnamed tyre place in newcastle, the cheapest I could find. Quick-fit quoted £160.

Also if you can get a member card ... Costco

Costco discount warehouse are very cheap.

Got 4 x 195 55 ZR 15" Michelin Pilot fitted and balanced for £140 (£35 each).

To replace with the standard fit tyres on HLX (185 60 15") would have cost £280 ish.

When I asked why lower prfile, wider tyre was cheaper the guy said it was a more popular size.
