Well as some of you know ive recently finished havin a engine conversion the 16vt from a fiat coupe, well ive finally raced something decent off the lights a old scooby,1st set of lights he had me slightly but the next set was all mine lol should have seen his face something il neva 4get.Also gone gear 4 gear with a civic type R.

i would have thought a 4x4 impreza would have been faster than both you and the civic?

re

i could kill turbo scoobys in my 8v turbo Brava

they are quick, but most owners dont want to launch them harshly as it would put a lot of strain on the running gear, so you can normally get the jump on them then if you got some decent power you can normally keep ahead of them in a straight line!

will say i never met a wrx or sti, only normal 240bhp import one or uk ones which are less bhp i believe?

2000 awd are 201bhp sum are even less the wagons are 189bhp depends on age

Don't forget the friction factor.
4x4 = much more friction/weight = more power needed to move it. That said, the Boxer engine is a bit mental and they are designed to go like stink.

re

just re read the original post, what bhp are civic type r's?

and i wouldnt go gear or gear he'll rev a lot higher than you!!

197BHP.

Redline = 8,000rpm
Rev Limiter = 8,500rpm
V-tech Kicks in = 5,500rpm

re

oh. . lol i always thought they were less powerful than that and just seemed quick because of high revving!

thats me proved wrong!

They are quick and there aren't many normally aspirated engines that push out that BHP, are there?
