been driving JTD for about 4 years already.....suddenly somebody comes up and asking why i did not install any timer....

i am not sure why....for me if it is important component, for sure it should be included in the first place by FIAT. anyway i do not drive that fast mostly between 60kmh to 90kmh only. not sure the turbo still working???

anyway do we need one....the timer????

No, probably not. I used to run a Nissan Skyline with uprated bits (280bhp, 0-60 in 6) and that had a turbo timer, but you only really need it when you've been beating the daylights out of your car on a track or somesuch. Your average Multipla is never going to be driven with sufficient vim to warrant one; it's there to let the turbo cool down after a hefty session. Note that on the Skyline GTST (230bhp standard) it doesn't come fitted with one - it's something you add when you soup the car up - so for a 115bhp Multipla....no issue.
