Hi all. cant find any info to match what i experience so will try to explain and hopefully one of you will relate and give me some feedback As to what to do. after driving issue free for a couple of hours and driving, well lets say a bit above the speed limit the 165t suddenly started to loose power slowing to 40 for about a minute at which after dropping to third increased power back to 80 max. this happened a few more times after on the same journey as i did not stop to investigate. The next day no issues noted with power plentiful with shamefully a hell of a lot above the national achieved (just for research purposes you understand!!!). Spoke to a so called turbo expert and was told that this may be just a build up of a few issues that some times a simple reset with the key turn off and on will cure. If anyone would like to give their input i would be most grateful. :

Was it regenerating the DPF
thanks for your reply matthew. i had no warning lights come on and as i said it definitely isn't lacking any power at the moment. do you know if is it a quick job for a garage to check if its the partical filter

Genuinely unsure. I've never owned nor am I a fan of diesels. But your symptoms seemed DPF related. I can't imagine it's too hard. They have to check them a lot I I'm guessing so there must be a way to do it
