General Tuning my Uno 1,1 IES Budget 1000 dollar$

Hi, I am a first time Fiat owner and wanted to improve my mechanical skills and have some fun tuning my Uno!,why not throw some gadgets into it and make it scream?.

What I was wondering how far would I get with 1kUSD,and what should I buy/do with it?.

Hello and welcome to the forum! :wave:

The easiest route to more power is to find a rusted Uno turbo with good mechanicals, and then swap the whole lot into your shell.

An easier swap is to fit the 1242 Punto/ New Panda 8v FIRE engine into your car. You can run it on your existing SPi system though for best results you can fit the bigger 1242 throttle body system, or if you have the MPi engine fit the entire system from that. You could also fit the 16v engine with MPi too. The 1.4 16v will also fit though this is likely to be way out of your price range.

Whatever you do to uprate power, you MUST uprate the brakes and suspension as well. If you don't there is a very good chance you'll end up in a ditch at the very least...
