How tunable are the N/A 20v?

A coupe 20v n/a comes with 147bhp as standard (not enough for me), how easy would it be to be to tune it to say 170 bhp? just talking about another 23bhp. Easy enough on the HGT.

I would have the 155bhp VIS but they are rare (and have plastic engine covers)

What mountain said :D

IIRC if you get the right cams and the piggyback for the 147 you could see around 190bhp, but apparently it'd be a bit crap at the bottom end of the revs.

I've heard also that the 155 should be remappable to between 165/170bhp and it's drive alot better.

This is all the kinda stuff I was looking into when I still had my green machine

Should ask Nissanmasco about tuning the 147.
as for the 155 according to paul at Angel mines should be around 180BHP with the induction kit exhaust and remap. I think he has high hopes tho, maybe just over 170BHP

Both engines are pretty tunable TBH

Im pushing for 200bhp at least.

Piper are doing me fast road cams. Still undecided where to get a piggy back done.

Changed to a forced air feed filter as the normal cone was crap.

As for exhaust most only have a cat back where as im doing a stainless manifold back :D so should be good for 200hp

It's a custom manifold isn't it, I don't think you can get a stainless steel one "off the shelf"? I found I lost power with a manifold and full exhaust :( The cams is where the power is :D

No wonder you lost power lol.

If the bore is too big and not enough back pressure is being built up then youre pretty much stuffed and loose power on the n/a im sticking a coiple of silencers in for good measure lol

So far so good guys, thanks.

So i am i right in thinking then that there are no sports manifolds available?

I have my eyes on a coupe VIS, sounds pretty good but the guy has left a phone number only (i don't do phones), no email contact. And it is only advertised on the autotrader.

I searched the web for ages looking for a manifold but to no avail.

So i decided to just fork out £400 for a custom manifold, decat and system and be done with it.

£400 the lot??? That's cheap!!

That boy is a complete idiot. i hope its back up to std power.

As for ashes statement at least someone has faith in me for 200bhp lol

Bit dubious as the th 2-3k for doing it bit tho.
