Hi, I've just bought a 2006 1.3 turbo diesel with issues in the hope to fix it.
It currently does not go in and out of gear.
When you fill the little oil reservoir when filled leaks out pretty quickly when the engine is turned on.
I think I've found where it's coming from and I've got some photos.
I have no idea what I'm looking at as I've only ever worked on Australian cars, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks guys

What gearbox and can you see where the oil is leaking from?

Sorry mate, I'm not sure on the model of gear box but it's a 6 speed with auto shift. 2006 punto. Not sure if that helps at all.
Can you see that green ring there.
It seems to be broken off the end there. And pissing out from there. I'm guessing there was a clip holding it in place before. It slides past the Oring now breaking the seal I guess.

Is that green O ring broken? I can't tell from the picture if it is or if there is something else in the way that makes it look broken!

I might be wrong but that looks to have been forced out and some of the metal is broke off.?
Green seal looks intact..from here ?
Maybe JB weld might be your friend here?
It slides in and out pretty easily. Maybe I should try and clamp it some how and check if the oil stays in.
If anyone has any pictures around there so I could see what's missing would be great. Or even if they knew what that part was called so I can order a new one.
I'm a night shift worker but if I get a couple hours tomorrow I might try and clamp it in and see if the oil stays in. Hopefully I have time tomorrow otherwise it will have to wait until the weekend.

Thanks for the idea :)

I'm pretty sure the Oring is still in tact currently.
If I can get it off it might be an idea to replace it anyway I guess.

Here is some closer pictures for anybody interested. Or if anyone can help identify what the part is called.

Update.
So after squeezing my hands in places they shouldn't be able to fit I got the part out.
It has no part numbers or anything on it so I hope somebody can help me out!
I've tried googling all types of things but have had no luck finding it yet.
Looks like it is supposed to have a circa clip on the end but the housing had broken off all the way around.
I would rather get anther than trying to make something to try and fix it.

If somebody knows what it called that would be a huge help!
It's a 2006 multijet with a 6sp

Thanks mate sorry I know nothing about these cars.
They are pretty rare in Australia not many of them putting around as far as I know.
I might post up in that part of the forum. Thanks for your help!
