Hey, Im havin trouble with the front drivers side wheel/tyre on my car. When i drive at any speed i can hear the rubber grinding. When i took off the wheel to see what its rubbing off there was nothing to indicate that it was rubbing off the arch. My question is.............could it be the tracking causing it to rub off the ground??? There is quite considerable wear on the inside of the tyre....threads are showing at this stage.

Id appreciate any advice,
Cheers

ecessive wear on one side of the tyre suggests tracking is to blame. by the sounds of it you need a new tyre aswell so get your tracking done at the same time (tracking costs £15-£25).

if it's only one side/tyre then i would check the bottom arm joint/bushes first!

Alright guys. thanks for the advice- got it tracked this morn and the problem is still there. im thinking it could also be the wheel bearing?
