I looked into this and talked myself out of it.
If this is the product you mean:
Air Conditioning Measure & Charge
For another fiver kwik fit will regas your system and they guarantee to reduce the temp at the vents by 10% or you don't pay for it. I'd rather have a pro do that kind of work.
Don't bother - three reasons:
1. They cost £20+ where as a proper aircon service can be bought for £40 if you shop around.
2. I found the gauge innacurate.
3. I can't think of a third now.
I use measure and charge and it works perfectly. The guage is inaccurate but if you read the can it tells you why, because its due to the outside temperature. If you use your head you can work it out.
Its very easy to use but should only be used for top ups not recharging from empty.

Mine was innacurate even within the correct ambient temperatures. The thing with having a proper re-gas is that they will test for leaks and ensure the correct amount of lubricating oil is added. I think the Halford kit is a bit hit and miss plus I'm not sure what problems the 'leak fixer' additive could cause.
Like i said i have no problems with the kit and i recharge mine each yearand it works fine. The gas, lubricant and sealant are all in proportion and wont cause you any damage adding it. The leak fixer works too.
Also when you buy it you get a aircon cleaner bomb, you activate it in your car, turn the aircon on. Turn onto recirculate and leave for 5-10 minutes. It'll kill any bacteria in the system that is producing a funny smell.
Remember you can top up X times with this, so ok its £10 less than a recharge by a specialist but if you just need top ups this will do it for ages aslong as you dont have a huge leak and the gas runs out. If you can recharge your aircon 5x with the can, then you say yourself £200 on aircon specialist recharge charges. No point emptying the system then refilling like they do, just top up. Also the air cleaner you get free costs £10 - £15 so in theory the air con recharge kit from halfords is only around £25.
